February Service Stars

Each month Kerbey Lane Cafe honors two Service Stars. These are team members who exemplify the KLC core values, who lend an extra helping hand, and who are all ‘round awesome people. They are certainly worthy of a spot on our blog. Check them out!

A little over three years.

What is your favorite thing about working at Kerbey Lane Cafe?

I like that it's always busy; I like to keep my hands full. There’s never a dull day at Kerbey Lane.

Tell us a little about yourself and what motivates you as a volunteer.

The volunteer events are always fun because folks from different stores get to meet and hang out while making something or hanging with kids.

What causes do you care most about?

Education and availability of food for low-income children.

Which volunteer opportunity that Kerbey has offered have you enjoyed the most?

Helping out with the Halloween carnival for toddlers on Waller. That was pretty cute.

Why do you think Kerbey Lane makes giving back one of its priorities?

Austin has allowed Kerbey Lane to do incredibly well, to the extent that the company has been able to grow a great deal. I think its nice that the company gives back to the community.

If you could meet one person alive today, who would it be?

Playing a game of golf or snooker with Joe Walsh could be pretty interesting. Preferably a game neither of us understands.
